Massive “Hoard” of 10,000+ Vintage 1958 & 1959 Topps Baseball Cards Discovered!
A “hoarder” collection of over 10,000 vintage Topps baseball cards from 1958 and 1959 has been discovered in Northern California. Stored away in boxes for many years and recently rediscovered during a room clean-out, this incredible find is being called a “Set Builder’s Dream.” The entire collection is now available for sale through Auction Monthly.
Highlights of the Discovery
Assembled by a dedicated collector with a passion for the golden era of Topps, the sheer volume of high-value stars in this hoard is unprecedented. The collection features over 750 Hall of Famers and five or more cards of nearly every major star from the late 1950s.
- The Mickey Mantle Hoard: The crown jewel of the collection is a staggering stash of more than 65 Mickey Mantle cards across the 1958 and 1959 sets.
- Legendary Star Power: The collection includes a massive volume of the era’s greatest icons, featuring 170 combined cards of Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, and Sandy Koufax.
- Key Rookie Cards: Collectors will find 15 combined rookie cards of legendary Hall of Famers Roger Maris and Bob Gibson.
- Rare Variations & Short Prints: The hoard includes hundreds of “yellow letter” name variations from the 1958 set, including the highly sought-after Hank Aaron variation.
A Golden Era Time Capsule
This collection represents a one-of-a-kind opportunity to acquire cards from two of the most iconic sets in hobby history. Beyond the individual stars, the discovery includes:
- 35-1958 Topps Stan Musial cards.
- Multiple complete and near-complete sets boasting vibrant original colors.
